The creator of " Meet the weenerfords" is Mitchell D. Dufrene, producer songwriter, guitarist, bass player, keys and vocalist. His Bands are,"KYND" "Bentley & the Baby Boomers." "Bandana" Or, what we have going on at the time like " Meet The Weenerfords our cartoon concept creation " He sings the lead vocals of his cartoon character" Bent Weener" and helps with back ground vocals. Mitch has been in playing writing and recording songs for decades he started about 14 and now is 55. A studio designer and engineer/producer, he has recorded most all his songs himself. There are very serious players around Mitch and his high-energy ideas. They are all professional in all areas of music. Most have and are playing with other major talents. Mitch and his associates have a mutual respect and can call upon each other at any time. One day, Mitch said "Why don't we do a cartoon show (ha ha)." They said, "Sure, we're behind you. What would the name be?" "Bent Weener," he said. "You sure you're feeling alright?"
Pete is the drummer/percussionist on the Bent Weener project, playing the part of "Johnson Weenerford." He has over 45 years of experience touring and recording, and is also a composer and vocalist. He is always where the gigs are. He's been working with Mitchell for about 10 years. We call him, he nails it in three takes... yep. A real "PeteWood Wack"
Jeff Elliot is a extremely talented muscian playing for 55 years. He finds time to be here when we need him. His trumpet and horn work is exciting. He also does a lot of other creative work and has his own masterful songs, such as Western Man, from his latest CD, soon to be released. This star is able to take off...
Evan Joffred plays the bass of "Slap Weenerford." Evan is naturally talented and well-studied. He gigs a lot in the local scene and he knows how to rip! He plays bass and sings backup vocals on the "Bent Weener" CD. He has more on his site.
Jennifer Lauren is a very talented singer who's always ready to record on any song. She does it pro - very tight. She has a solo CD out and it rocks!
Noel Laune is a vocalist from Burbank, who performs on the Bent Weener CD. She does very nice work in the studio - always creative and expressive.
Lois is the vocalist featured on just about all our songs. We love her and are so very happy to have talent such as Lois to work with. Be sure to check out loismahalia.com - its very cool. She's great, a blast in the studio. This star could take off.
David Coyle is a guitarist, vocalist and composer. He is very involved with major cool acts all over the world. Keep an ear out - he going to break out. A real super all-star guitar wizard.
Dave Tolegian is a horn player who has worked with Mitch for over 25 years. Always in-style. A very sessioned player. He can lay down a killer sax solo at a moment's notice.
Jimmy Calire plays keyboards and Hammond B3. He is a serious composer of 58 years plus for major talents. He does session work with Mitch and helps with charting out the tunes for the future cds. He's totally cool.
Vince Denham is the all star hit sax player,at15 played with elvis! He's on 20 hit records with Kenny Loggins,Michael Mcdonald even Tower of Power.Vince goes on the road with big top names. He's done studio work old-school analog recording with Mitch. He laughs at the crazzy ideas and can't believe where mitch pulls these song out of thin air from.
Lee Rollag plays fiddle on "Shane" - one of the latest tracks on the Bent Weener CD. He's a local legend from the Ojai/Ventura/Santa Barbara area.
Thom is one of the younger muscians in the line up.Keys plus great vocal power 4 octave range on vocals.
Dallas Dufrene is the "Coordinator of Cool for all his friends, if they don't like it we don't do it." He will also head the surf video side of the company . He has grown up in the water either behind our boat or riding waves At 12 he surfed at pipline and i was worried watching him As a college student, his job is to make sure that the cartoon and musicical ideas will appeal to a younger audience - not always thinking the adults rule all the time.
Emmet Sargeant, owner/engineer/producer at Beagle Studios in Santa Barbara. He helps us get it right and doesn't take over like some engineers. When i work with other studio producers and engineers i see if the are involving them selves in the project because of their ego. Emmet or "M" as we call him never does that. A true pro for the "Bent Weener" foot print
Jeanine Dufrene is Mitch's little sister the real diamond in the ruff. She is very special and this cartoon show is dedicated to her with love.
The late Mark Rader was a natural guitar player, singer and songwriter who wrote, played and sang with Mitch for over 35 years. The music of Bent Weener is dedicated to his memory.
Plays a rock solid Bass and other stringed instruments along witn percussion. He's been doing it for years. A very focuced pro who plays with top acts
Tilford is a fluid natural player with a old school serious vibe. He's been around the blocks. A Composer who can cover any session
and make them sound great.
Suds as they call him because he's such a clean player. Kenny can rip any tune on his strat. He doesn't even need to talk about the tune - he gets it quick. Love is his only groove so it is always cool. He will be ready for the nod to take that solo on que. Mitch and kenny go way back like age 14..
George is a very hip polyrhythm expert cool, wha-wha pedal dude. He finds the percussion grooves with his guitar drops in between the coongas
and timbalis. Never drops a beat. He is also an engineer for animation. We need his savy for the cartoon.
This is the producer who is trying to get us the break we need. He is under pressure daily for many big shows on TV. When he says it's a go, things will start to work out. You need a real smart leader to break in.
Serious about professional approach to his craft. He can pull off any riff on his Bass. Randy is very expressive in complecated rythums master. Stand up or fretless. Jazz Fussion is his bag. The club scene can't forget Tico's solo funk breakdowns with his pal Tony Morano on drums. That is the energy that will always work.
Very talented pro who tours with power like" the mothers of invention" A wonderful person inside, and his Bass work is perfect . He walked right in to my home studio
we started rolling tape. That was about it..
Dave is a very clever writer who uses great visuals details in his wording. When he was younger he wrote for happy days.He is also a very accomplished songwriter and guitar player. His brother is very big in Hollywood circles like "Two and a half men" fame and also writes lyric for there cd's.Very cool to have him here he is a heart felt kind soul...
Lorenzo is the real authentic old school professional. He lives the complex rythums as a way of life.He is always holding the grove together.
Richard was into life through fast cars. The album and cartoon is dedicated to him and all the fallen.
